Campbellsville, KY – The UC softball team was limited to a combined eight hits as they fell to fourth-ranked Campbellsville 9-0, 8-0  Friday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium.  With the wins the Tigers improve to 28-4 overall and 11-1 in MSC play, while the Patriots move to 11-21 and 4-8 in conference play.

Jacqueline Roof led off the game with a single and scored on an Alexis Smith RBI single to give Campbellsville an early 1-0 lead.

Cumberlands looked to tie the game in the second as Haley Kilburn drove a one-out double to right field.  Coari Robertson pinch-ran and advanced to third however UC was unable to score as the Tigers got out of the inning.  Campbellsville added a run in both the second and third inning to take a 3-0 lead.

Campbellsville plated four runs in the fourth, before Roof hit a two-run homer in the sixth for the 9-0 final.

Kilburn led the way for the Patriots going 2-3 with a double, while Kailin Yantz, MiKayla Vires, and Morgan Ellis each notched a hit.
