Bowling Green, KY – Sophomore Jacob McNutt capped his best performance to date with Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week.

On Saturday, Cumberlands wrestling swept the competition at the NAIA Challenge Duals thanks in large part to McNutt's undefeated record with two wins over top-ranked opponents.

To open competition, unranked McNutt bested 18^th-ranked Kyle Lee of #19 Williams Baptist with a 17-1 tech fall victory.

The Maxie, VA native followed up that match with an instrumental 10-2 major decision over fifth-ranked Brett Johnson from Marian University (IN).

McNutt finished up his perfect 5-0 record with a 16-0 tech fall and two falls, notching his fastest pin after 2:33.

Next, the Patriots will travel to Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL over the weekend to continue dual action. The triple-header meet has the Patriots matchup against NAIA-ranked competitors including a cross-MSC divisional match with the hosting #9 Fire, #20 Indiana Tech Warriors, and #2 Reinhardt Eagles.
