Nashville, TN – Caleb Taylor grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds to go along with 15 points as the #16 UC men's basketball team defeated Fisk 67-52 on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Patriots have moved back to .500 at 2-2.
UC got off to a strong start outscoring Fisk 36-23 in the first half and outscored 31-29 in the second half for the 67-52 final.
Taylor recorded his third double-double of his Patriot career, while
Tevin Olison netted a game-high 22 points, including going 8-9 from the charity stripe.
Jahi Hinson, who is averaging 14.0 points per game, chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Steven Fitzgerald added five rebounds, while Taylor tallied a team-high three steals.
Cumberlands shot 42.4% from the field in the game and outrebounded Fisk 46-33.
The Patriots will return to action Tuesday, November 12, when they host Johnson University. Tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. with live video available
