Williamsburg, KY – Holding the equalizer into halftime, the Patriots are unable to keep up with the Point Skyhawks, dropping the MSC-AAC clash in a 2-1 ball game. The home team moved to 4-3-1 on the year.
Marvin van der Made heard his name called, putting the sole Patriots goal on the board from a low header. The senior forward was found in the box by

Van der Made led the team with five shot attempts, two of which on goal.
Alejandro Gonzalez placed two of his three on frame, once finding himself with only the goalie to beat but shot wide left. Through the contest,
Milan Stojanovic had field awareness to send passes through to get offensive opportunities.
With the game on the wire,
Sergio Infantes Castell got on the end of crosses twice on top of the left-side post, but was not able to square the chance up properly, tallying two shots wide. Van der made was set to take a free kick from five yards above the box, coming up blocked on the attempt and wide on the ricochet.

Liam Healey's shot attempt is deflected, but the offside was called as
Marco Muca attempted to chase down the ball and find Van der Made in the center. In the final seconds of the game, the Patriots were a couple footsteps away from equalizing the match as the clock closed, but came up empty.
Clement May, registering his second start of his junior season, allowed two goals in the loss but came away with six saves under his belt. The keeper perfectly timed his jump in the 36th minute to punch the ball as it sailed into the upper right corner, and later again on a free kick as the shot fell in route to just under the crossbar.
May led the defense to his first loss of the year in goal, now sitting 1-1 after 180 minutes. His win came in the season opener against the SCAD Bees, where he allowed one goal.
