Bowling Green, KY – Patriots swept the Mid-South Conference weekly honors for indoor women's track and field, announced by the conference office on Monday. Cora Stevens was named the track athlete of the week while Summer Travis earned the award for field events.
 
Stevens opened her season with a top-finish in the 600 meters, first time placing atop the field in her career. A time of 1:41.83 is a new personal best, winning the race by five seconds.
 
Travis led both the weight throw and shot put fields at the Strive for Greatness Invitational, her first time winning an event as well. Her heave of 15.16 in weight throw broke her own school record and moves her personal best even further. She measured a toss of 11.75 meters in shot put for the win.
 
It is the first week the MSC awards have been handed out for the 2021 indoor season. Both athletes earn the award for the first time in their Patriots careers.
