Shepherdsville, KY- After day two of the LTU Heritage Hill Fall Collegiate, the Patriots finished tied in first place at the tournament. Despite shooting a team score of 299 (+11) on day two, based on the tiebreaker rules of the tournament, UC lost the tiebreaker.
Leading the way for Cumberlands was
Jarryd Elliott. Elliott carded a 36 hole score of 144 (E) to finished with a share of third place on the individual leaderboard. On day two, the sophomore tallied two birdies and eleven pars to stay amongst the top-five in the tournament. This is the third tournament this fall that Elliott has finished in the top-five on the individual leaderboard at a tournament.
Gustav Barden improved on day two at the Heritage Hill Collegiate to finish tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard. The Karlstad, Varmland native carded an 18 hole score of 70 (-2) to climb back towards the top of the leaderboard. Barden got off to a hot start on day two. The sophomore tallied two birdies and six pars to open up the first half of the course. Barden carried the hot streak over to the back nine as he recorded an eagle on the 10
th hole of the day. This is the third straight tournament Barden has finished inside the top-ten.
Also earning a share of sixth place on the individual leaderboard was
Imanol Camba. Camba finished with a 36 hole score of 146 (+2). The two round score is the lowest so far this season for the junior. On the tournament, Camba recorded seven birdies and 21 pars to help him finish amongst the top-ten.
Freshman
Jaime Crispi finished with a share of 16
th on the individual leaderboard. Crispi carded a 36 hole score of 150 (+6). He tallied eight birdies and 16 pars at the Heritage Hill Country Club in Shepherdsville, KY.
Juan Murube finished tied for 26
th at the Heritage Hill Collegiate. Murube's best round came on day one after he carded an 18-hole score 74 (+2). The senior finished with a 36 hole score of 155 (+11).
Competing as an individual was Jose Hurtago. Hurtago carded a 36 hole score of 162 (+18) to finish 41
st on the individual leaderboard. The junior recorded one birdie and 19 pars through 36 holes at the tournament.
This is the highest finish so far this fall for the Patriots. Cumberlands will look to build off this tournament in two weeks at the Mid-South Conference Fall Invite in Bowling, KY.
