Williamsburg, KY – UC falls short to 22 Lindsey Wilson 0-3 (14-25, 18-25, 14-18) in the last match of the regular season. UC honored seven Patriots on Senior Night. The seven were Sierra Arnold, Lily Chapman, Maddie Kosky, Olivia Pearcey, Rachel Scott, Ashley Sobocinski, Olivia Verdecchia.

The Patriots were led by Chapman who notched nine kills and nine digs. Verdecchia came away with seven kills, while Anna Blumeier added six kills. Danielle Jackson added two aces and five blocks. Lexi Lester came away with a double-double, with 12 assists and 11 digs. Savanah Schwarz added 11 assists as well.

Chapman opened the UC scoring with two kills, then Verdecchia added two kills of her own. Later in the set Blumeier would notch back-to-back kills. The Blue Raiders would then get a couple of kills to win the set.

The second set started closely contested before the Blue Raider started to pull away. Following a Cumberlands timeout, the Patriots went on a 5-0 run to take the lead 15-14. The run featured two kills from Chapman and back-to-back aces from Jackson. From there Lindsey Wilson would go on a run late run to take the set.

The Blue Raiders carried their momentum into the third set as they jumped out to a 14-6 lead. Chapman would then notch back-to-back kills, then Shelby Lackey and Verdecchia would add kills to cut the lead to 10-16. The Blue Raiders would then go an another run to close out the set and the match.

The Patriots finishes the regular season 19-10 and 9-7 against conference foes. UC next match will be at the MSC Tournament next week on Thursday November 11. In their first-round matchup UC will take on Freed-Hardeman at 12:30 CT and 1:30 ET.
