Waleska, GA – The Patriots fall to 5-3 as they drop both duals in the 2021 finale Thursday afternoon. Fifth-ranked Reinhardt won 27-15, while third-ranked Life won 33-9.

Against Reinhardt, four Patriots earned a victory. In the 141-match, sixth-ranked Bryce Nickel got a sudden victory win in overtime over Dawson Bates. Nickel was able to get a takedown to end the match 8-6. In the 157-match, O'Brian Black also got a sudden victory. Black faced Trevor Burdick and got a takedown to get the 6-4 win. Then in the 197-match 10^th ranked Gabe Jacobs got a fall victory over 14^th ranked Jacob Henderson in 1:55. Next, in the 285-match second-ranked Aaron Johnson got a 3-1 decision win over 12^th ranked Nic Jarvis.

Then in the Life dual, UC would notch three victories. Nickel earned his second win with a 3-1 decision victory over Jordan Mitchell. Then in the 149-match 18^th ranked Chasen Brown got a 5-3 sudden victory with a takedown, over second-ranked Julian Hernandez.  Next, in the 157-match, Black who is unranked took down number one ranked Denver Stonecheck, with an 11-9 decision win.

Cumberlands will start the 2022 portion of their season on January 6^th and 7^th competing at the NWCA / NAIA National Duals.
