Columbia, SC – The Patriots women's track team started the indoor season Saturday morning at the Rams Winter Challenge in Columbia, SC. UC only competed in the 3000M racewalk at this event.
 
Sophomore Jenna Grogan was the top Patriot finisher on the day, crossing the finish line in 18:30.41 for a fifth-place finish. Junior Tara Todd came in behind her for a sixth-place finish and a time of 20:17.29. Morissa McPherson and Isabelle Blatz also competed for UC on the day.
 
Cumberlands competed against athletes from Columbia (SC) in today's race. Columbia's Isabelle Trefts placed first after walking a time of 14:56.30. Jessica Heiser-Whatley and Victoria Heiser-Whatley rounded out the top three finishers on the day.
 
The entire Patriots team will be in action next week at the Louisville Cardinal Classic for their first full meet of the season. This meet will take place on Saturday, December 11^th in Louisville, Ky.
