Bowling Green, KY –
Raegan Granville extended her school record in pole vault this Saturday at the Indiana Tech Classic. The new collegiate best led her to her second MSC Field Athlete of the Week honor tallied this season, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Granville had already made her presence known as the best women's pole vaulter in program history, owning both the indoor and outdoor school records. Earlier this season, she boasted a new career indoor best of 3.30 meters at the Turnstone Classic.
The senior improved the mark even further on Saturday, boasting a height of 3.45 meters cleared. The height is a new personal best for Granville, between both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
In addition, Granville noted her first NAIA standard hit of her career as a Patriot. The mark registered as a b-cut. She currently ranks 17th in the NAIA for the event.
On Saturday, Granville placed second overall despite matching the winning height. In the final two heights attempted, she needed two tries to make a successful clear in the progression.
