Bowling Green, KY – Summer Travis finished atop the field in shot put over the weekend, leading to Field Athlete of the Week honors. The award was announced by the Mid-South Conference office on Monday.
 
Travis led the shot put field and placed third overall in weight throw. A toss of 11.98 meters in shot was a season-best mark for her, and her third event win of this season. A 15.10-meter measure in weight throw was a couple centimeters off her previous career best.
 
Travis earned the award for the second time this season, and second time of her career.
