Cleveland, TN – A pair of seventh-place finishes contributing to the Patriots team score, putting Cumberlands 25th as a team.
Lydia Le'Det led the way with a big career best in triple jump.
Le'Det posted her best triple jump finish in her fifth attempt, measuring 10.92 meters. In her first leap, she marked 10.50 meters to head into the finals in ninth, moving into seventh by day's end. She went on to an outdoor best of 4.56 meters in long jump for 15th.
Kathryn Hunter posted a new best in the 100 meters individually, also joining
Raegan Granville and
Megan McMannon in the 4x100-meter relay. The crew posted a new season best time for Cumberlands of 50.06 seconds for seventh, a bump by 0.06 seconds.
Coming off national laurels,
Summer Travis three times finished 11th or better at the Flames Invitational against tough NCAA Division II and NAIA competition. The senior tossed 41.62 meters in hammer in her final through of the event for 10th place. In both shot put and discus, Travis placed 11th with measures of 11.78 meters and 31.94 meters, respectively. Both were tabbed on the second attempts.
Granville also cleared 3.05 meters in her opening try at pole vault, placing 13th in the event.
