Patriots Women's Golf Tabbed to Finish Third in the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll

MSC Preseason Poll 

Bowling Green, KY- After winning their ninth straight MSC Tournament Championship in the spring of 2021, the Patriots were selected to finish third in the Mid-South Conference Coaches' Poll, announced by conference officials on Wednesday.  

UC finished the 2021 season amongst the top teams in the NAIA at the National Tournament. Receiving 85 voting point, including a conference-best, four first-place votes, UC sits right behind Lindsey Wilson who received 86 voting point and three first-place votes. 

The Patriots, who have captured 11 straight MSC regular season titles, returned three players from last year's lineup led by MSC First Team All-Conference selection Viviane Braun. Newcomers Emily Allen and Riley Clark will provide depth for Cumberlands this season. 

Campbellsville was selected to finish first within the conference as they received 97 voting points and two first place votes. 

Cumberland (Tenn.) and Pikeville were selected to finish fourth and fifth in the conference, respectively. Cumberland received 77 voting points and the final 2 first place votes, while Pikeville received 57 voting points.  

The Patriots' fall schedule is set to begin on September 10 when they travel to Yorktown, IN. to participate in the Players Club Invitational.
