Bowling Green, KY –
Jenna Grogan and
Jullia Morris had a great weekend for the Patriots Indoor Track & Field team as they swept MSC weekly honors in both the track and field categories.
Grogan raced in the 3000m racewalk event on Saturday at the Mondo College Invitational. The sophomore crossed the finish line in 17:32.32 to hit her first national qualifying standard "B" cut of the year. Her performances earned her MSC Track Athlete of the Week.
Morris competed in the triple jump event this weekend where she placed sixth against NCAA DI, DIII, and NAIA athletes. The freshman reached a distance of 10.80m in her best jump of the day. This performance garnered her Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Both Morris and Grogan win their first weekly honors of their careers. These are the first weekly honors of the season for Patriots Women's Indoor Track & Field team this season, as well as the first time they've swept the awards since week two of the 2019 season.
The Patriots Track & Field squad will return to action next weekend as they travel to Louisville, KY for the Kentucky College Invitational.
