Cincinnati, OH – The UC men's bowling finished their eighth tournament of the season, placing seventh out of the 22 teams that attended the MSC Cincinnati Classic this weekend. The Pats have not finished outside of the top-eight in any tournaments they've competed in this year, and that streak was not broken today.
 
After totaling 4758 pins with a 951.6 average on Saturday, UC could not quite find that type of performance again on day two. In the first team game of the day five bowlers combined for 895 pins, the highest score of the day for the Patriots. They finished the final four games with a total of 3467 pins for an average of 866.75 per game. This brought their final score to 8225 for a seventh-place finish.
 
Austin Montgomery was the top performer for Cumberlands in Cincinnati, posting a 17^th place individual finish. The senior knocked down 1742 over nine games with an average of 194 per ten frames. Robert Borowski was the only other Patriot's bowler to finish in the top-25 as he ended with 1713 pins and a 24^th place finish.
 
Tennessee Southern continue to be the top team in the MSC taking home a first-place finish. Lindenwood and Tennessee Weselyan placed second and third with St. Francis (IL) and Midway rounding out the top-five this weekend. Blue Mountain College finished just in front of UC in sixth.
 
This was the final regular season event of the year for the MSC, and the Patriots solidified a top-three finish for the first time since the 2019 season. UC sits in third place with a record of 39-11 behind UT Southern (49-1) and Pikeville (40-10) heading into the Mid-South Conference tournament on February 10-12.
 
UC will compete one more time before the MSC tournament as they travel back to Ohio for the Muskie Mash in Coshocton in two weeks.
