Bowling Green, KY- Jarryd Elliott earns Mid-South Conference men's golfer of the week for the second time in his Patriot career. Elliott contributed in a big way in last weeks, Eagle Match-Play Invitational to help the lead to a 1^st place victory.

Competing in their first match-play tournament under Head Coach Aaron Watkins, UC secured a 1^st place victory over 8 teams including #9 Dalton State. Elliott won each of his three matches, leading the team to a title.

In the quarterfinal round of the tournament, Elliott defeated Gustaf Lundberg of Milligan 7&6 after taking the first five holes of play. The Pats defeated the Buffalos 5-0 to secure their place in the semi-final round.

In the semi's, the Pats faced off against #21 Point University. With the match tied 2-2, and Elliot the last golfer to secure a point for the Pats, it all came down to the final three holes of play. After a darkness-delay, and a full night's rest, Elliott was able to secure the win over his opponent and advance the team to the final round.

Elliott came up big once again in the final round against Faulkner defeating his opponent 3&2. The match was even through 13 holes, before Jarryd won the next two holes to take the match and help UC in a 3-2 win the championship match.

The Junior adds a second MSC golfer of the week award to his accolades, alongside being names MSC Second Team All-Conference during the 2021-2022 season.
