Bowling Green, KY – Allyson Grava takes home MSC attacker of the week honors for the third time this season. Grava led the Patriots to a 2-0 week, as UC advanced to 16-7 on the year.
For the week, Grava tallied 31 kills and 26 digs. Her week started with a double-double in a sweep over Pikeville. In that game she put in 13 kills while adding 17 digs, one assist, and one ace. The junior also had two blocks in that game, one of which was solo. Grava then followed that performance with an 18-kill game in a sweep over Shawnee State. She was one dig away from another double-double as she added nine digs and four blocks.
Grava has been killing it all year as she leads the team in kills with 337 at a 3.92 kills per set clip. She also has 25 aces and 10 assists. She gets it done defensively as well. So far this season, Grava has 255 digs to go along with her 33 blocks. Seven of those blocks have been solo.
The Patriots returns to the court tomorrow as they take on Georgetown for a rematch. The match starts at 6:30.
