Kansas City, MO – Patriots volleyball team had another successful year in the classroom, as the team had six student-athletes garner Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, announced by the national office on Tuesday.

Three student-athletes takes home this honor for the third time in their career: Lexi Lester, Emily Prewitt, and Savanah Schwarz. Kira Ervin earned this honor for the second time in her career, while Kendall Arnold and Sydney Dalton garnered this award for the first time in their career. This marks the sixth straight season the Volleyball Program has five or more athletes on this list.

The 2022 list features 609 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.

The Patriots finished up their season with a 22-9 overall record and a 11-1 record at home.
