Bowling Green, KY – The UC men's bowling team had three bowlers named to All-Conference teams on Wednesday night. Bryce Frantz was given first team honors, the third MSC all-conference honors of his career. Robert Borowski and Charles Wilken were named to the second-team for the first time in both of their time at the Cumberlands. Assistant coach Zach Doty was also honored as he was named the Men's Assistant Coach of the Year.
 
Frantz earned his first conference honors in the 2019-2020 when he was named to the first-team, and he was given second-team a season ago.  The Louisville, KY native bowled 38 games for the Patriots this year, the most of anyone on the team, totaling 7407 pins. He averaged a 194.92 pin count through these games, with a 204.81 in specific MSC events. Frantz had his best performance of the season at the MSC Thomas Burris Memorial where he placed ninth with a total pinfall of 1105 through his games on the weekend.
 
Borowski was named second-team all-conference for the first time of his career. The Lexington, KY native averaged 190.966 pins through 29 games on the year. He had his best tournament at the Lincoln Memorial Challenge in Harrogate, TN two months ago. The senior placed 13^th individually with an average of 179.4 through 5 games. He averaged the team's third highest score in the Mid-South events with a 195.2.
 
Wilken's was the final Patriot to be honored on Wednesday night as his performance this season earned second-team honors. The Fortmill, SC native bowled in every event for UC this year for a total of 36 games. He had a total pinfall of 7146 for a team best average of 198.5.  His best tournament of the season came at the Kegel ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic where he totaled 1087 in five games for an average of 217.4 and a 39^th place finish.
 
Coach Doty was named Assistant Coach of the Year by conference officials this week. This award was implemented this year, making Doty the first recipient in Mid-South bowling history. In Doty's first season coaching for the Patriots, he helped lead the team to a third place MSC finish. Doty was a two-time Collegiate All-American at Morehead State University before coming to Cumberlands.
 
The Patriots are currently in Bowling Green, KY for the first day of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. Frantz, Borowski, and Wilken look to lead their team to a first place finish and a trip to the national tournament.
