Bowling Green, KY – Jullia Morris excelled in the triple jump for the women's indoor track & field team this weekend in North Carolina. Her performance garnered her Mid-South Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
 
Morris hit her third national qualifying standard of the season in the triple jump event at the Camel City Invitational on Saturday. She jumped 11.35m for a national "B" cut and a new personal and season best distance.  She placed sixth overall in this field event and posted the third highest score in the conference this year.
 
This is the second time Jullia has earned conference honors this season and is the second in her career as well.
 
Morris and the Patriots will compete for another MSC indoor title next weekend on February 18^th and 19^th. The Mid-South Championships will take place in Louisville, KY, making it the the third time the Patriots have competed there this year.
