UC Men's Golf Places Fifth at Mid-South Conference Spring Classic

Crossville, TN. - After the conclusion of the MSC Spring Classic, the Patriots men's golf team finished in fifth place at the tournament. Through two days and 54 holes at the tournament, UC carded a team score of 922 (+58) which was 14 strokes ahead of sixth place.

Cumberlands highest finish on the individual leaderboard came from Gustav Barden, who finished the tournament tied for third. On day two of the tournament, Barden got off to a hot start by tallying nine pars and a birdies on his first ten holes of the round. Through three rounds at the tournament, Barden carded a combined score of 224 (+8). The sophomore's best round came during round one of the tournament, where he recorded a 73 (+1), while adding eight pars, three birdies, and an eagle.

Juan Murube had a strong outing on day two of the MSC Spring Classic to finish tied for 13th on the individual leaderboard. On day two of the tournament, Murube tallied his lowest round at the tournament with a 75 (+3). During his third round, the senior tallied 13 pars and a birdie. Across 54 holes at the tournament, Murube carded a three round score of 230 (+14) while adding 25 pars and nine birdies.

Imanol Camba shot his lowest rounds of the tournament on day one to notch a tied for 20th finish on the individual leaderboard. Camba got off to a hot start on day two tallying a birdie and a par on two of his first three holes of the day. Over 54 holes at the tournament, the Bilbao, Spain native carded a combined score of 233 (+17).

The sophomore, Jarryd Elliott finished tied for 33rd on the individual leaderboard. Over 54 holes at the tournament, Elliot carded a three round score of 238 (+22) while adding 27 pars and six birdies. His lowest round of the tournament came in round two when he tallied a 77 (+5).

Jamie Crispi concluded his second to last tournament of the spring with a 39th place finish. Crispi carded a three round score of 241 (+25). The freshman tallied 27 pars and five birdies across 54 holes in Crossville, TN.

Jose Andres Cortes competed as an individual at the MSC Spring Classic. Cortes carded a three round score of 249 (+33) to finish tied for 51st on the individual leaderboard.

The Patriots are set to compete in their final tournament of the spring on April 25 and 26, for the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship in Bowling Green, KY.
