Silvis, ILL.- Through the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament, the Patriots men's golf team currently sits in tied for 22nd. Through day one and 18 holes at the tournament, UC carded a team score of 300 (+16) which is just 11 strokes from being inside the top-15.

Leading the way for Cumberlands at the national tournament is Gustav Barden. On day one of the tournament, Barden got off to a hot start by tallying 11 straight pars on his opening 11 holes of the day. Through 18 holes at the tournament, Barden carded a score of 73(+2), which puts him in tied for 65th on the individual leaderboard.

Teammates Jaime Crispi and Jarryd Elliott both notched 75 (+4) to sit in tied for 90th on the individual leaderboard after day one at the national tournament. Crispi got off to a hot start at his first national tournament, tallying a birdie and three pars on his first four holes of the day. Over 18 holes, the freshman recorded 12 pars and a birdie.

Elliott finished day one strong, notching three pars and two birdies on his last five holes of the round. Across 18 holes on day one, the Witbank, South Africa native carded eight pars and four birdies.

Juan Murube sits in tied for 116^th on the individual leaderboard after day one of the NAIA National Tournament. Across 18 holes on day one, the senior tallied a 77 (+6), while notching 10 pars and two birdies during the round.

Imanol Camba carded an 18 hole score of 78 (+7) to sit tied for 129th on the individual leaderboard after round one of the national tournament. Camba, through his first round of the tournament, tallied 12 pars and a birdie.

The Patriots will be back in action tomorrow for round two to the NAIA National Tournament. UC is set to tee off on hole one at 8:50 AM EST at the TPC Deere Run course.
