Silvis, Ill.- Led by Gustav Barden, the Patriots men's golf team currently sits in 18th place after two rounds at the NAIA National Championship. During Wednesday's second-round, Cumberlands notched a team score of 289 (+5). In order to advance to the final rounds of the championship, teams needed to place inside the top 17 after round two. UC missed the cutoff so their season comes to a close. However, Gustav Barden will individually compete in the next rounds of the tournament.
 
Improving on his day one performance was Barden. During Wednesday's second round, the sophomore tallied an 18-hole score of 67 (-4). Barden had a solid start to his round as he posted a par and three birdies on his first four holes of the day. The Karlstad, Varmland native has a two-round score of 140 (-2) and currently sits tied for 15^th place on the individual leaderboard. 
 
Jarryd Elliott improved on day two of the tournament to finish inside the top-50 after two rounds in Silvis, Ill. Elliott got off to a hot start on day two as well, tallying 10 pars and three birdies on his first 13 holes of the round. The Witbank, South Africa native finished round two with a final score of 70 (-1).  
 
Jaime Crispi currently holds a share of 78th place on the individual leaderboard after he secured an 18-hole score of 73 (+2) on Wednesday. After carding a first round score of 75 (+4), the freshman has a 36-hole score of 148 (+6). 
 
Staying fairly consistent with his first-round score, Juan Murube earned a share of 138th place on the leaderboard after she tallied a second-round score of 80 (+9). Combined with his first-round score from Tuesday, Murube has a 36-hole score of 157 (+15) during the NAIA National Championship. 
 
Imanol Camba rounded out the scoring for UC with his second-round score of 79 (+8). For the tournament, the Bilbao, Spain native has secured a two-round score of 157 (+15) and currently sits in a tie for 138th place on the individual leaderboard. 

 
Gustav Barden will compete in day three of the tournament on Thursday, May 19 at the TPC Deere Run Golf Course in Illinois.
