Chula Vista, CA – Coming on the heels of capturing their first USA Archery Outdoor National Championship in program history, the Cumberlands archery program earned a plethora of national honors, highlighted by Jase Boils, Madison Cox, and Tyler Woosley being named the Collegiate All-Around Archer of the Year in their respective divisions.  UC also had 18 archers earned USA Archery All-American honors, which is the most in the country, for their success throughout the season.

Boils earned the men's compound all-around shooter after a pair of top-five finishes on the season.  The senior captured the USA Indoor national title after carding an 1183 at the championships.  Boils opened the season by tying the program record with a 456, including hitting 29 12's, to place fifth at the 3D National Championships.  The Albany, KY native capped off his year carding a 678 at the outdoor championships to qualify 12^th.  Boils added a gold medal in mixed compound and a silver medal in mixed disciplinary team rounds at the 3D championships.  The senior also earned individual gold at the MSC 3D conference championships.  This is Boils second time being named Shooter of the Year after he earned the award in 2019 and the senior moves into fourth all-time in program history with four individual podium finishes.

Cox caps off an historic season with being named the women's fixed pins All-Around Archer of the Year for the second time in her career.  The junior captured individual gold in all three championships this season, becoming the first Patriot to achieve that feat.  The McKee, KY native carded a school record 456 at 3D to set the school record, while earning the top-seed at the outdoor championships with a 655.  Cox broke a pair of national records en route to finishing atop the podium for the second time at the indoor national championships.  The junior carded a 596 to break the 600 round national record and finish with an 1191, breaking the 1200 round record en route to the gold medal.  Cox now has five individual national titles, which is the most in program history and has made the podium in each of the eight championships she has taken part in.  In addition to her individual success, Cox was part of the women's fixed pin team that earned gold at outdoor nationals and captured four silver medals during team rounds.  Cox was also named the MSC Shooter of the Year for the second straight season.

Woosley earned gold at the indoor national championships en route to being UC's first men's barebow shooter to be named the All-Around Archer of the Year.  The Leitchfield, KY native broke the indoor school record carding a 953 in his first collegiate indoor championship to finish atop the podium.  The freshman  opened the year placing sixth at the 3D championships with a score of 327, while shooting a 485 to qualify 14^th at outdoor nationals.  Woosley added a silver and bronze medal as part of team rounds and was named the MSC Freshman of the Year.  The Leitchfield, KY native is also the first Patriots men's barebow archer to be named an USA Archery All-American.

The Patriots had five archers in the men's compound division and the women's fixed pin division earn All-American honors, while UC placed four on the women's compound list and a pair of women's recurve archers.  Cumberlands 18 All-Americans are the most since the 2016-17 season when UC had 18 archers that distinction. 

Cole Zeug was the top men's compound shooter after finishing as the national runner-up in indoor and earning a bronze medal at the outdoor championships.  Zeug highlighted the compound division that garnered the most All-American since the 2015-16 school year.  Freshman Blaine Kostrzewski joined Zeug on the list, while veterans Aaron Adams, Boils, and Carson Sapp are all multiple time All-American recipients.

The Patriots have garnered their most women's fixed pin All-Americans since the 2013-14 season.  Cox is joined by fellow three-time All-American Kaitlyn Shields, who carded an 1168 in indoor before shooting a 640 at the outdoor championships.  Freshman Kimber Wheeler, Julia Shepherd, and Hollyann Lewis earned All-American honors.  Wheeler notched a bronze medal at the outdoor championships and joined Cox and Shields on the women's fixed pins national champion team.

Brooke Miller becomes the eighth women's archer to garner All-American honors for four consecutive seasons.  Miller averaged a 9.575 per shot during indoor and a 9.236 per arrow in outdoor to be one of four Patriots women's compound shooters to be named All-Americans.  Hannah Moose notched this honor for the second time in her career, while Madison Grimm and Marissa Harding garnered their first All-American accolade of their career.

For the first time since 2017 the Patriots have multiple women's recurve archers land on the All-American list.  Ceridwyn Salyers and Whitney Vandiver both garnered this accolade for the first time in their collegiate career.  Salyers, the MSC Freshman of the Year, carded a 1082 during indoor before tallying a 573 in outdoor.  Vandiver utilized a strong outdoor championship, where she notched a 594 to elevate her way to All-American status.

Rounding out the Patriots All-American list is Brandon Durham, who posted the sixth highest score in the men's fixed pin division.  Durham placed sixth at the indoor championships with a score of 1178, while he qualified seventh at outdoor nationals finishing with a 643.  This marks the first All-American honor of the junior's career.

In total 11 of UC's 18 All-Americans earned this distinction for the first time in their career. 

All-around shooter of the year is based on individual placement at the US 3D Collegiate Championships, the US National Indoor Championships, and the US National Collegiate Target Nationals qualification rounds.  The All-American selections are based of the top 25% of archers in each division up to a maximum of 10, and it's based on the USA Indoor National and the USA Collegiate Target Nationals. 

Closing out the awards is Head Coach Kris Strebeck, who was named the South Region Coach of the Year.  Strebeck guided the Patriots to both the 3D and Outdoor national team title this season.  He was also named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year.  For Strebeck this marks the straight year he has earned this distinction.
