Williamsburg, KY – A lone Patriot was among the 10-person team that represent District Two of the NAIA for the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team that was announced by CoSIDA officials Thursday afternoon. Lauren McHan is the solitary Patriot that earned this distinction this year for the women's track & field and cross country teams.
 
McHan is a fifth-year senior for the Patriots that has found tremendous success this season and over the course of her career. This year, McHan earned first-team all-conference honors on the cross country team along with a nationals appearance. She also garnered multiple all-conference honors throughout the indoor and outdoor track seasons, qualifying for the NAIA National Championships in both as well. The Blountsville, AL native is currently at outdoor nationals where she is set to compete in the 3k steeplechase.
 
For Lauren, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors makes her eligible to earn Academic All-American First-team honors as all Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
 
The 2021-22 Academic All-District Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes Track & Field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
