Bowling Green, KY – Trinity Sherrod earned weekly MSC honors for her performance in the pole vault at the Mid-South Conference Championships this weekend. As this meet was held on a Sunday and Monday, only Sunday's performances were eligible for this week's track and field athlete of the week award.
 
Sherrod won her second pole vault title of the year with a 2.65m vault over the bar. The sophomore cleared this mark on her second attempt of the day. She also won this event at the MSC Indoor Championships earlier in the year.
 
This is Trinity's first Mid-South Conference field athlete of the week honors of her young career at UC. Sherrod and her teammates will compete one more time at the Lee University Last Chance Meet on Saturday, May 14^th before NAIA Nationals at the end of May.
