Williamsburg, KY - The Patriots men's swimming and diving team compiled one of their most impressive seasons during the 2021-2022 school year.  UC was dominant in the regular season going 6-0 in dual meets before capturing their fourth straight Mid-South Conference title.  Cumberlands capped off their season with a plethora of career-best performances in the water and on the boards, which led to the Patriots finishing third at the 2022 NAIA Championships.

Cumberlands scored 335 points to notch a third-place finish at the NAIA National Championships.  It was the highest finish in program history.

Kacper Sobieszuk becomes just the second Patriot to earn MSC Swimmer of the Year honors.  In addition, the Lublin, Poland native also became the second consecutive, and third overall, UC swimmer to earn MSC Freshman of the Year.

 Cumberlands tallied 30 NAIA All-Americans this season led by Ruben Gonzalez de Oliveira, who
 earned six All-American accolades.  In total UC had eight multi-time All-Americans and had 11   different swimmers achieve All-American honors.

 The Patriots tallied 28 individual performances that rank in the top ten of the program.  17 of those 
 rank in the top-five, including three of five fastest times in the 200 IM as Ruben Gonzalez de Oliveira,
 Kacper Sobieszuk, and Andres Caicedo have top-five marks.

  UC has won 27 consecutive dual meets dating back to the 2018-19 season.  This season UC went 6-0 in dual meets and Head Coach Eric Skelly was named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year for the third time.

Cumberlands set five new program records on the season.  Enzo Esteves clocked a 20.11 in the 50 free, John Morgan McDonald went 9:41.09 in the 1,000 free, and Mikolak Kala touched the wall in 2:01.74 in the 200 breast.  In addition, UC broke the school record in the 200 free relay and the 800 free relay.

  UC recorded a Mid-South Conference record 935 points pulling away with their largest margin at 
  352.5 points en route to winning their fourth straight conference title.  The Patriots tallied 36 MSC
  All-Conference selections, including 20 first team selections.
