Williamsburg, KY - The 2021-22 season for the Patriots Men's Golf team ended with a Mid-South Conference Tournament title and a trip to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time under Head Coach
Aaron Watkins.
THE YEAR IN NUMBERS
The Patriots had two athletes receive all-conference accolades this season. Gustav Bardeen garnered first team honors, while
Jarryd Elliott earned second team honors.
Cumberlands tallied a season high 54 birdies across three rounds at the Blue Raider Invite.
Juan Murube won his first career tournament and garnered his first career player of the week honors after his performance at the Blue Raider Invite.
During the 2021-2022 season,
Jarryd Elliott garnered Mid-South Conference golfer of the week honors twice.
For the first time under Head Coach
Aaron Watkins, UC men's golf on the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship. Coach Watkins went on to be voted the MSC Coach of the Year.
UC placed five athletes on the academic all-conference list.
Gustav Barden,
Cole Brown, Ethan Comer,
Jarryd Elliott, and
Juan Murube all received the accolades.
Gustav Barden finished 26
th on the individual leaderboard at the NAIA National Tournament. Barden finished with a combined four round score 287 (+3).
