Lexington, KY – Cumberlands Volleyball garnered American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the fourth year in a row since 2020, as announced by the AVCA on Monday.

The Patriots Volleyball program has now earned this award six times in total. UC joins 57 other NAIA Program who earned this distinction in 2022. Taking the record for the most recognitions by a Mid-South program since the award's inception in 1992-93.

In total, 11,878 programs from across all three NCAA divisions, NAIA, NCCAA, and two-year colleges made the list. UC is the only team representing the Mid-South Conference on this year's list.

The AVCA awards programs who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, teams must post a team GPA of 3.30 or higher.
