Kanas City, MO – The Patriots sophomore Anna Blumeier won her first MSC Attacker of the Week, then topped it with her first career NAIA Attacker of the Week after leading UC's offense to a 5-0 week.

Blumeier set new career-highs as she led the Patriots offense all week with 87 kills at 4.58 kills per set. She averaged a .378 attacking percentage for the week. The Louisville, KY native started her week off with a 14-kill game at Tennessee Wesleyan. She followed that performance with a 11-kill game against Ohio Christian. In the next game against Bluefield, she set a new career-high of 20 kills that did not last very long as she broke that record two games later. In the following game against Bryan, the Sophomore tallied 18 kills. Blumeier ended the weekend with a new career-high of 24 kills in a five-set win against Bluefield. Blumeier was named to the All-Tournament team at the Cumberlands Invite as well.

Head Coach Kathryn Hart said, "We are very proud of Anna and how she is playing. She sprained her ankle opening weekend and it's taken a couple weeks to get her back fully healthy, but very happy with how she is improving each week. We have been working with Anna on being a smarter and more aggressive player overall and I think that really showed this past weekend. We are looking forward to seeing her continue to work hard and improve as the season continues. "
