Jonaitis dominated the boards as well grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double in his first game as a Patriot.

A jumper from DJ Jones got things started before a Bell layup and a pair of makes out of Cromer got UC out to a 9-0 start over the opening three minutes. After a three from CUH UC would score nine more to take an early 18-3 lead. The Pioneers responded with nine points of their own to cut UC's lead to six. A pair of layups from Brown followed by a Bell three extended the lead back to double digits and the Patriots never looked back.

Over this stretch Brown netted ten points of his own while Jonaitis, Tajahri Cave, Ramey, and Tanner Walton also got in on the action. Davidson made a layup for his first points of the night along with a pair of free throws from Jones ended the run as the Pats went to the locker room with a 32-point lead.

The London, Ky duo of Ramey and Davidson combined for 15 of the next 23 points for Cumberlands, extending their lead to 40. A pair of buckets from Brown and Cromer along with four more points out of Davidson put the Patriots over the century mark with 6:58 to play.

Barek Williams knocked down a jumper off the dribble to get on the scorecard and net the first points of his college career and the final horn sounded with UC taking the win 116-57 over the Pioneers.

Coach Matt Daniel talked about the team's win saying, "I was excited for our guys to go out and play someone else. There were a lot of positives, but we still have a ways to go in other areas."

Cumberlands will be back in action in just two short days as they host Ohio Christian University on Wednesday at 7 PM at home in the O. Wayne Rollins Center. The Pats look to start their season 2-0 for the fourth straight year.
