Bowling Green, KY – 22 Patriot student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding effort in the classroom this year as they earned Mid-South Academic All-Conference honors, the conference officials announced Wednesday afternoon. This year's group of 22 marks the seventh straight year the Pats have placed 20 or more on this list. The MSC also announced their Champion of Character team which saw senior running back
Darius James named as UC's representative.
Senior
Kendall Adams-Young earns academic honors for the fourth year in a row while four Patriots are named to this team for the third time. These honorees include
Nick Buzzell,
Micah Swim,
Adam Caudle, and
Eli Evans.
Four more Pats earn a place on the Academic All-Conference team for the second year in a row including
Walker Dunn,
Andreas Anderson,
Nathan Boles, and
Brendan Lester.
Joe Lucas,
Job Matossian,
Nysaiah Foote,
Jonathan Heralus,
Will Page,
Reagan Cherry,
Malik Thornton,
Kevin Sentell,
Trevor Brown,
Trevor Pfiester,
Deion King,
Elijah Adams, and Wyatt Ison all garner these honors for the first time as well.
To be eligible each honoree must be at least a sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.25. In total 178 student-athletes from across the conference earned this distinction.
UC closed out their 2023 season going 6-4, including a win over #14 Reinhardt University in the fourth week of the season.
