Williamsburg, KY – The Patriots put together a dominant performance on their Senior Day to beat the Campbellsville Tigers 73-58. UC moves to 17-11 on the season and 11-11 in MSC play. UC shot
Jahi Hinson had a great senior day, scoring 17 points with four rebounds and four assists as well.
Brady Bell added 15 points off 5-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Austin Hall set a new career high in assists with 7 while scoring 13 points while
J.J. Ramey and
Steven Fitzgerald both scored 10 points as well.
Hinson started the game off hot with back-to-back buckets followed by a Fitzgerald three. The Tigers scored ten points over this time period to take a 10-7 lead after four minutes of play. The next five minutes featured threes from Bell and
Isaiah Payton and a pair of layups out of Hall and Hinson to tie the game at 17-17 with 9:33 on the clock.
Six straight points from Hinson and another Hall lay in put UC up six with 5 minutes to play. The next two trips down the court ended with Bell threes to stretch the lead to 10. The Tigers responded with a 11-6 run to end the half, but the Patriots still had the 39-35 lead heading into the locker room.
Campbellsville came out of the half with a layup to cut UC's lead to three. This was the closest the game would be, as UC went on a 24-10 run to increase their lead 17. This run saw eight points from Ramey, five from Fitzgerald and threes from Payton and Bell.
CU cut the lead to 15 after a make in the paint before Payton dished out two of his six assists on the night to Ramey and Hall. Bell's fifth three of the night came at the 6:06 mark to give UC their biggest lead of the night. The Tigers couldn't mount a comeback over the final six minutes of play. Head Coach

Jadrian Flores. The final buzzer sounded and the Patriots took the win 73-58.
Cumberlands will host the opening round of the MSC next Tuesday where they will face off against Campbellsville once again. They must win to move on to the MSC quarterfinals later in the week in Bowling Green, KY.
