Williamsburg, KY – Two days after pulling out a nail-biting win against Lindsey Wilson, the Patriots men's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 win over Shawnee State Wednesday afternoon at the UC Tennis Court.  The win extends their win streak to seven straight matches and moves UC to 16-3 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

For the first time this season, Bill Chiang Chia Chun teamed with Chistian de la Fuente Nodado at #2 doubles.  The tandem earned a 6-1 win over Dylan Smith and Matt Stam to give UC the advantage.  The Patriots top doubles pair of Matin Muller and Hung Ju Wu extend their win streak to four straight matches with a 6-1 victory at #1 doubles to clinch the point.  At #3 doubles, Killian Surmont and Mattis Le Montagner traded points with Keenan Lambert and Landon Hodges before pulling away for the 6-4 win.

UC's strong played carried into singles as Muller quickly extend the lead to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Smith at #2 singles.  De la Fuente Nodado followed with a straight set win at #3 doubles to make it 3-0.  Le Montagner battled Duarte Melo at #1 singles and took the first set 6-3.  In the second set the two players traded points as they were tied at 3-3 forcing a tie-breaker, which le Montagner won to make it 4-0 and clinch the match.

Wu followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at #5 singles, while Killian Surmont defeated Stem 6-2, 6-0 at #4 singles to extend the lead to 6-0.  Lucas Augotr tallied his 13^th win on the season with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #6 singles.

Cumberlands returns to the court Thursday, when they host Georgetown.  First serve is set for 3 p.m.
