Henderson, TN – The #22 Patriots men's tennis team earned a solid conference win on Sunday, defeating Freed-Hardeman 6-1.
UC captured two of the three doubles matches to capture the doubles point and grab the early 1-0 advantage.
Martin Muller and Hung Ju Wu earned a 6-1 victory over Merlin Bolema and Nolan Laduree at #1 doubles, while Liam Savio and Gabriele Solda defeated Brayden Martin and Braden Young at the #3 spot to secure the doubles point.
Muller continued his successful day with another win at #1 singles. The senior defeated Merlin Bolema 7-5, 6-0 to give the Pats a 2-0 lead.
Killian Surmont followed that up with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win over Pablo Poleo at the #2 spot.
After the Lions won the next match to cut the deficit to 3-1, UC responded with another win to seal the victory.
That victory came at the #4 spot where Liam Savio dominated, taking down Theo Deveals 6-0, 6-1.
UC took the final two matches to cement the 6-1 victory.
Pierluigi Cruypenninck defeated Braden Young 6-2, 6-0 at the #5 spot. Lucas Augotr did not drop a game at the #6 spot, defeating Brayden Martin 6-0, 6-0 to close the day.
Cumberlands is back in action on Friday, March 22nd as they face off against #24 Marian.
