Georgetown, KY – The #24 Cumberlands women's tennis team earned their second straight shut out victory, defeating Georgetown to improve to 3-0 in conference play.
The Patriots earned two of the three doubles matches to capture the early 1-0 advantage.
Jirachavala Puckaporn and
Liu YuFang defeated Abby Moss and Emma Hill 6-1 at the #3 spot, while
Marina Nagai and
Fan Shiau earned a 6-2 win over Lydia Prince and Madelyn Gill.
Nagai continued her successful day with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win over Bailee Martin at #1 singles to put UC up 2-0.
Cancarevic followed that up with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Samantha Spady at the #2 spot to give the Pats a 3-0 advantage.
Lucy Stojic secured the overall win for the Pats, defeating Emma Hill 6-4, 6-3 at the #3 spot.
The Patriots preserved the shut out victory, taking the final three matches in convincing fashion.
Liu YuFang earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Madelyn Gill at #4 singles, while
Fan Shiau defeated Lydia Prince 6-0, 6-1 at the #5 spot.
Jirachavala Puckaporn closed the day for the Pats with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Abby Moss at the #6 spot.
Cumberlands returns to action on March 25
th, as the Pats travel to Columbia, KY to face #10 Lindsey Wilson.
