Williamsburg, KY – The #20 UC women's tennis team fell to (RV) Reinhardt 5-2 at the UC Tennis Complex on Monday.
The Eagles opened the day sweeping doubles play to take the early 1-0 advantage.
Marina Nagai put UC on the board, picking up a solid win in straight sets at #1 singles. The sophomore defeated Ana Josic 6-4, 6-0 to even the score at one.
Liu YuFang followed up with another UC victory in singles, to give the Pats a 2-1 lead. The freshman earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Pilar Becerra at #3 singles.
Reinhardt ultimately took the remaining four matches to secure a 5-2 victory for the Eagles.
The Pats are back in action on Tuesday, as they host Pikeville at the UC Tennis Complex.
