#10 Patriots Sweep IU Southeast to Move to 30-0

Williamsburg, KY – The 10th-ranked Patriots continued its historic season Tuesday night, cruising to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-10) victory over Indiana University Southeast inside the UC Volleyball Gym. With the win, the Patriots improve to 30-0 on the year, while outside hitter Sara Zampedri moved into fourth place in program history with 1,273 career kills.

UC's offense was unstoppable from start to finish, hitting .406 as a team with 46 kills against just five errors while holding IU Southeast to .065 hitting. Brynnley Bryant led the way with a match-high 14 kills on a .387 clip, while Zampedri tallied 12 kills and 14 digs for her tenth double-double of the season. Kara Gipson was nearly perfect, finishing with eight kills on .800 hitting and four blocks, while Alana Shiery chipped in six kills and a pair of blocks.

Setter Savanah Jolly ran the offense with precision, handing out 34 assists to go along with six digs and an ace. Davey Slaughter once again anchored the back row with 13 digs, while UC's serving game stayed sharp with six total aces, led by Autiana Wilson and Slaughter with two each.

Cumberlands came out fast in the opening frame, using an 8-1 run midway through the set to build a 20-11 lead behind three kills from Bryant. UC closed the set with a block from Gipson and Shiery to take it 25-16.

The Patriots continued their momentum into the second, hitting .500 as a team and jumping ahead 12-5 behind strong serving and Zampedri's back-to-back kills. A late 6-0 surge capped by a Bryant swing sealed the 25-13 win. In the third, UC dominated from the first serve, racing out to a 15-5 advantage, and never looking back to finish off the sweep 25-10.

The Patriots will hit the road on Friday November 7th to face Bethel University. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m. ET.
