Athens, TN – The #18 Patriots Men's Tennis team fell in a top-25 matchup at #2 Tennessee Wesleyan on Thursday afternoon.
The Bulldogs took the early 1-0 lead, securing wins in the first two matches of doubles play at the #2 and #3 spots.
Liam Savio got the start for UC in #1 singles, but fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to Octavio Volpi.
Juanchi Alcon battled in his singles match, forcing Juan Carlos Garcia to three sets at #2 singles. However, the match was left unfinished after the Bulldogs captured the remaining two singles matches to secure the 4-0 victory.
The Pats will be back in action tomorrow to resume their match against #24 Huntington that was postponed on Wednesday.
