Midway, KY - The #15 UC Men's Tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 7-0 shutout victory over Midway on Saturday afternoon. Cumberlands will head into the postseason with a 17-7 overall record and 5-1 in MSC play.  

The Patriots jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, sweeping doubles play to secure the point. Darius Kuster and Gabriele Solda picked up the first win of the day with a 6-4 win over German Collado and Ferran Clapes at #1 doubles. Sampras Rakotondrainibe and Pierluigi Cruypenninck earned a dominant 6-0 victory over Izan Casado and Axel Sperling at the #2 spot. At #3 doubles, Thibaud Vivier partnered with Apivich Rojpiboonphan and emerged victorious, defeating Daniel Pinzon and Tyler Fox, 6-3.  

Juanchi Alcon kept the momentum in favor of the Pats with a 6-1, 6-1 win at #1 singles against Axel Sperling, increasing the lead to 2-0.

Luis Marcos took his match over Ferran Clapes with identical scores of 6-1, 6-1 at the # spot to give UC a 3-0 advantage.

Darius Kuster secured the overall team win for the Pats, defeating Izan Casado 6-3, 7-3 at #3 singles.

Cumberlands continued to stack wins to cement the shutout.

Sampras Rakotondrainibe earned his second point of the match with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over German Collado at #4 singles, while Thibaud Vivier defeated Manuel Mirabal 6-1, 6-1 at the #5 spot.

Apivich Rojpiboonphan collected the final win of the day at #6 singles. The sophomore took down Tyler Fox, 6-3, 6-4 to conclude the match.

Cumberlands will be back in action on Wednesday April 23rd for the Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Patriots will be the two seed and will take on seventh-seeded Campbellsville in the opening round.
