Bowling Green, KY – The Patriots women's golf team had a pair of top-five finishers while UC notched a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Championships Tuesday afternoon at Bowling Green Country Club. Cumberlands tallied a 928 (+64) over the 54-hole tournament, which was 22 shots ahead of third place.
After the tournament, Cumberlands Head Coach
Aaron Watkins was named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year, while UC had five golfers garner All-Conference honors.
Ainslee Cruce,
Ginevra Capo, and
Atchariya Thanaudomkul were First Team All-Conference selections, while
Emily Allen and
McKenzie Trautman notched Second Team All-Conference honors.
Ainslee Cruce posted her fourth top-five finish of the season as she carded a 226 (+10) to finish fourth. The sophomore opened the tournament with an 80 (+8), however, immediately followed that up with a one-over-par, 73, in the second round. The Bowling Green, KY native sank back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth hole to move to -1 at the turn of the third round. Cruce closed out the tournament with a birdie to notch a 73 (+1) in the final round to climb one spot. On the season, the sophomore is averaging 76.1 over 29 rounds of play and she placed third at the MSC Fall Preview.

Atchariya Thanaudomkul earned MSC All-Tournament honors after finishing fifth at the MSC Championships. Thanaudomkul carded a 231 (+16) over the 54-hole tournament, including sinking one birdie. The sophomore posted a 76 (+4) in both the first and second rounds. The fifth place finish is tied for her best finish on the season as she garners First Team honors for the second straight year.
Emily Allen notched her third top-ten finish of the season after carding a 235 (+19) over the three rounds. The senior opened her final round with two birdies in the first five holes and closed out the round with a 76 (+4). Allen notched five birdies at the tournament and garnered Second Team All-Conference honors for the third time in her Patriot career.
Ginevra Capo notched First Team All-Conference honors for the second time as a Pat. The junior averaged 77.5 over her 29 rounds on the season. Capo closed out the MSC Championships in 15
th place after carding a 242 (+26). She tallied a birdie in both the first and second rounds of the tournament.
Rounding out Cumberlands lineup was Mckenzie Trautman, who carded a 238 (+22) to finish 13
th overall. Trautman utilized a pair of birdies in the second round to card a 76 (+4). Trautman notched Second Team All-Conference honors after posting five top-10 finishes on the season, including a fourth place finish at the MSC Fall Preview.
Lindsey Wilson won the tournament with an 869 (+5), while the Blue Raiders Butpapaporn Szukterm earned Medalist honors.
The Patriots will now await the announcement of NAIA Qualifiers for the 2025 NAIA National Championship. That announcement is expected to be released on Friday, May 2
nd at 4 p.m.
