Bowling Green, KY – The UC men's golf team is coming off a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship and continue to shine both on the links as well as in the classroom. The Patriots have six golfers garner MSC Academic All-Conference honors to lead the way among MSC schools.
In addition to the Academic All-Conference selections
Eli Fischer was named to the MSC Champions of Character Team. Fischer earns both honors for the first time as a Patriot.
Pedro Morgado notched MSC Academic All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year, while
Pablo Lopez,
Pete Netsom,
Theo Andersson, and
Lorenzo Fiato also earned this distinction.
In order to be nominated for the All-Academic team each athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one year at a college or university. The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.
Cumberlands posted six top-three finish of the season, including a trio of tournament wins.
