New Orleans, LA – For the first time in program history, the University of the Cumberlands women's track & field team has been named the 2025 NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Team of the Year, USTFCCCA officials announced. The prestigious honor recognizes the Patriots' remarkable combination of academic and athletic excellence throughout the 2025 indoor season.

Cumberlands earned the award after capturing the NAIA Indoor National Championship with a team score of 58 points while also achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.55. The Patriots' dominant national performance and dedication in the classroom stood out among all NAIA programs across the country.

The success of the Patriots went well beyond team accolades. UC had 22 student-athletes earn Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference honors, showcasing the program's consistent academic rigor. In addition, 14 Patriots were named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes, recognizing juniors and seniors who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

This milestone marks a defining moment for the Cumberlands women's track & field program and further establishes it as one of the premier all-around programs in the NAIA.
