Georgetown, KY – University of the Cumberlands Head Football Coach Shan Housekeeper has been inducted into the Georgetown College Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025, Saturday night. A fierce competitor and one of the most dominant linebackers in program history, Housekeeper's impact on the field helped define a golden era of Tiger football.

From 1999 to 2002, Housekeeper anchored a Georgetown defense that reached four consecutive NAIA National Championship games, winning titles in 2000 and 2001. Over that span, the Tigers went an astonishing 53-3 and held opponents to just 14.1 points per game. His tenacity, leadership, and relentless play were cornerstones of the team's sustained dominance.

Individually, Housekeeper etched his name into the record books. In 2001, he set a school record with 90 unassisted tackles in a single season, and in 2002 he followed it up by setting the program's single-season sack record with 21. Both marks still stand to this day.

A two-time Mid-South Conference All-Conference selection and 2002 NAIA First Team All-American, Housekeeper ranks third all-time in single-season total tackles (144 in 2001) and tied for second in single-season tackles for loss (32 in 2001). Over his four-year career, he totaled 33.0 sacks (5th all-time), 49 tackles for loss (9th), and 245 yards from TFLs (9th), earning his place among the all-time greats in Georgetown history.

"I had an opportunity to be with some great teammates and coaches over my time at Georgetown," says Coach Housekeeper. "I saw what it takes to create a successful life on and off the field. Now we are trying to continue that same expectation."

Coach Housekeeper will begin his fourth season at the helm of the Patriots this Thursday as they take on Union Commonwealth in the Battle for the Brass lantern. Kickoff is set for 7:30 ET in Barbourville, KY.
