Williamsburg, KY – The fifth-ranked Patriots returned home Tuesday for a defensive showdown against (RV) Grace in a match that concluded in a 0-0 draw at the UC Soccer Complex. The Patriots move to 6-0-3, while the Lancers move to 6-0-2 after the match.
Morgan White made eight saves on the day to tally her fifth clean sheet of the year.

Noah Paalman, and
Karla Waibel kept constant pressure on the Grace attack.
Wakana Ose and
Letizia Traversone each notched a shot in the match.
Grace came out strong with three shots and a pair of corner kicks in the first 20 minutes of action. White notched a pair of saves keeping the match scoreless. The Patriots looked to turned the tide pushing the ball up field. In the 34', Cumberlands crossed the ball into the box, where Traversone header deflected off the crossbar. Laura Bosca added a shot the sailed wide as the match remained scoreless at half.
White came up with a save in the 54' as Grace continued to pressure Cumberlands. UC looked for the go-ahead goal in the 60', however, Ose's shot just missed wide. The two teams traded possession looking for an opening over the final 30 minutes of play. The Lancers put four shots on frame during that stretch, but the reigning NAIA Defensive Player of the Week, White, handled them to preserve the 0-0 final.
UC will open conference play on Saturday, September 20
th, when they travel to Lebanon, TN to face #19 Cumberland. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
