9/17/2025 2:58:00 PM

Williamsburg, KY – The Cumberlands swimming & diving program has been training hard gearing up for its upcoming season, which will feature ten meets, Head Coach Eric Skelly announced Tuesday.  The Patriots will have a balance with four home meets and four road meets during the regular season.

"I am very excited for this year's schedule. Getting an opportunity to swim new teams and new challenges is something we've been looking forward to," said Coach Skelly.  "I think this will give us a great opportunity in our preparation for both the Mid-South Conference and NAIA national championships."

Cumberlands opens their season on October 11th, when the divers travel to Danville, KY to compete at the Centre Diving Invite.  The Patriots will compete on both one- and three-meter boards.

UC returns home the following Friday with a dual against Shawnee State.  This is the sixth straight year that these two teams have squared off.  The next day, Cumberlands hits the road to face Lindsey Wilson in a dual meet.

The Patriots close out their opening month with a trip to Greencastle, IN for a two-day meet with DePauw University.  This marks the first time that the Patriots and Tigers have meet.

Cumberlands returns home against Asbury on Friday, November 7th, in their final tune-up before the mid-season meet.

UC returns to the Centre College Invite Nov. 21-23, for their mid-season meet.  The Patriots men's team won that meet last season, while the women's team finished runner-up.  In addition, both squads achieved a plethora of national cuts throughout the meet.

January will see the Patriots compete in a pair of dual meets as their final test ahead of the championship season.  UC opens the month traveling to face Garner-Webb on January 9th.  This is Cumberlands first dual with the Bulldogs and their first dual meet against an NCAA DI opponent since 2019 when they women's team faced Indiana State.  It's the men's first dual meet against a DI opponent since the 2014-15 season when they face both Xavier and Western Kentucky.

UC closes out the regular season on January 24th when they host Milligan.  This meet features a pair of top-five NAIA programs and will also serve as Cumberlands senior night.

The MSC Championships returns to Centre for the second straight year as the Pats look to defend their conference titles.  The NAIA National Championship is set for March 4-7 in Elkhart, IN.
