LOUISVILLE, KY – UC's women returned to the track Saturday to close out the Rod McCravy Memorial, adding depth in the middle-distance and distance events, throws, and relays as UC completed competition against one of the nation's deepest fields.
 
UC opened its new events of the day in the 300 meters, where MaQuoia Raglan led the way with a time of 40.41. Ritorion Vigne followed with a 44.11 performance as both athletes took on a large sprint field.
 
The Patriots then turned to the 800 meters, where Caroline Cronen paced the group with a time of 2:21.18. Kayleigh Burkhead followed closely behind at 2:29.76, while Grace Nelson added a 2:31.48 effort to round out UC's entries in the event.
 
The distance group also competed in the 3000 meters, where Hope Boa led the Patriots with a time of 11:19.60. Rylee Schaffner followed in 11:37.30, while Baylee Black rounded out UC's efforts in the event after crossing the line in 12:16.33.
 
The throws group was active in the shot put as Katie Slade recorded UC's top mark at 9.56 meters. Kelsie Peavler followed with a throw of 8.28 meters, while Taylor Lunsford added an 8.16-meter effort to close out the event for the Patriots.
 
UC wrapped up competition at the meet in the 4x400-meter relay, where the team of Megan Kitchens, Caroline Cronen, Grace Nelson, and Kayleigh Burkhead combined to run 4:18.63 to finish the day.
 
The Patriots will now turn their focus forward to next week where they will be right back in Louisville, KY for the Bellarmine University Open.
