Addison, IL - The University of the Cumberlands men's bowling team competed at the Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic this weekend, placing 34th out of 68 teams in the field.
 
Owen McClure led the way for the Patriots with a 15th-place finish overall. McClure totaled 1,128 pins across five games for a 225.6-pin average, highlighted by a 277 in the fifth game. The sophomore was the highest placer out of the Mid-South Conference.
 
Trent Smallwood was next for UC, placing 72nd with a five-game total of 1,038 pins for a 207.6 average. His best score came in game one with 236 pins.
 
Austin Hale finished 135th after knocking down 961 pins through five games for a 192.2-pin average. Hale's top game came in the fourth, rolling 237.
 
Austin Nelson added 728 pins across four games for a 182.0-pin average, while Andrew Ketron posted 598 pins in three games for a 199.3 average, highlighted by a 278 in game four. Cody Lumpkins rounded out the Patriots' scorers with 490 pins across three games.
 
The Patriots will return to MSC action January 24^th-25^th for the Lynne Jordan Memorial and Thomas N. Burris Memorial Tournaments.
