Williamsburg, KY – The University of the Cumberlands men's lacrosse team has announced its 2026 schedule, which features a mix of home contests and road challenges as the Patriots prepare for the upcoming spring season. UC is set to face ten opponents that opened the season ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA top-10 Coaches' Poll.
"We strive every year to play some of the best teams in the NAIA and we are going to be challenged throughout the season with strong conference and non-conference match ups," said Head Coach
Kody Swann.
For the first time in program history the Patriots will square off with a conference opponent in a non-conference regular season game when they face (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan on February 13
th. The following week will see Cumberlands traveling to Grand Rapids, Michigan to face #8 Aquinas College.
The Patriots return to Williamsburg for their home opener on February 26, welcoming #2 Madonna University to the UC Lacrosse/Soccer Complex. This is the sixth meeting between these two schools and a rematch of last year's national semifinal in which Cumberlands won 15-7.
UC kicks off March on the road traveling to face Mount Vernon Nazarene on March 7
th. This is the first of two new opponents to the Patriots schedule this year.
The Patriots open AAC play on March 12
th when they travel to #5 Reinhardt Cumberlands returns home on March 14 to host (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan.
"The AAC is one of the toughest conferences in the country and we are looking forward to the test," said Coach Swann.
UC alternates road and home contests the following week, traveling to Point University on March 19 before welcoming #8 Life University to Williamsburg on March 21. The Patriots remain home for a three-game home stand, hosting #4 Webber International on March 26 and #1 Keiser University on March 28.
Cumberlands opens April squaring off with sixth-ranked Indiana Tech on April 4
th. The Patriots won both meetings with the Warriors last season, including a 13-10 win in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Tournament.
The final stretch of the regular season sees the Patriots close the year with three consecutive road contests. UC travels to Montreat on April 11, followed by road games at SCAD-Savannah on April 16 and Columbia College on April 18. It'll be the first meeting between the Patriots and Koalas.
