BOWLING GREEN, KY – Seven Patriots were honored for their success in the classroom earning MSC Academic All-Conference honors, conference officials announced Wednesday morning.
Brady Bell earns academic honors for the third time as a Patriot while
Brant Smithers was recognized for the second consecutive season.
Kyle Duke,
Abraham Ibezimakor,
Andrew McConnell, Ikemba Otounye, and
Tanner Walton join their teammates on the Academic All-Conference list for the first time at Cumberlands.
Cumberland University led the MSC with 12 honorees, as a total of 48 men's basketball student-athletes were mentioned this season. To be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their third term or fourth quarter.
The Patriots will now look ahead to the MSC tournament where they face off against the sixth-seed Cumberland University. Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28
